Pool time + Dinner at RPM Italian = happy us :)

RPM Italian

Blurry photo taken by an Aussie tourist.

Roman Style Artichokes. Don’t be scared. They are one of my favorite dishes in Chicago.

Lobster & Truffle Bruschetta. Splurge. Indulgent. Absolutely delicious.

Carbonara. Trust me when I saw this is the BEST I have had.. and I’ve had/made plenty of it. Butter, Parm & Raw Egg Yolk. The way it’s supposed to be done.

Whole Grilled Branzino. A huge portion, but light and healthy. Perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. We had a side of Parmesan Asparagus to go with it. The hubby and I could probably eat grilled whole fish daily.

Dessert Special: Strawberry Rhubarb Shortcake. RPM Style.

Reservations can be a pain to get at RPM, but it’s worth the wait. As another option, there’s plenty of communal seating in the bar area, with the full dinner menu available. I suspect it’s not too bad to walk in and see what they have.

Happy eating!

Starting a new book.
I’ve been waiting for this one, from one of my favorite authors!
{update} finished book in 4 sittings.
Review: It’s much shorter than his previous two, but just as enthralling. It covers various intertwined stories, over a few generations, and touches on core family values and needs. Really enjoyed it!
